“My boyfriend propositioned two girls”

Recently, my boyfriend moved in with me. Before then we were long distance, as we lived six hours away from each other. I love him and I know he loves me, he told me first in March and I had known before then but was waiting for the right time.

We’ve had a few arguments recently, about him having looked at other girls when we we’re at the pool at our apartment complex. We have resolved things and are working together to have better communication about things.

I recently found out he had suggested, when drunk, to have a threesome with two girls in February. He didn’t, because he knew he shouldn’t cheat, but he still brought it up. He doesn’t know I know this and I just don’t know what to do or think.

So you and your boyfriend decided to make the commitment and move in together- then you find out that he likes to look at women at the pool and discover that he propositioned some as well. Here’s a couple of questions you may want to ask yourself:

1- Am I OK with and open relationship? If yes you have your answer. If no move to 2.

2- Have or would I be comfortable doing the same behaviors while in a relationship (looking at men and asking for threesomes while drinking). If yes- then all is fair, if no move to 3.

3- Ask yourself- Before meeting your boyfriend, would you say this behavior was something where you draw the line? If your best friend was in the same position what would you say to them?

Love almost always clouds our judgement- in a biological sense it is actually supposed to. That said, we are no longer in a world where it is necessary or even helpful. Getting feedback from other objective parties, and possibly even a therapist would be a great idea. Good luck!
