This is insane. 23 years ago, I got pregnant with a child, and the father was 9 years older than me. He was a felon just released on parole, and I was a 16 year old in a catholic school. I truly loved him and married him at 18.
He did go back to prison and for the next 10 years, he was in and out of prison. I continued on with life, and got married to another man, and had another child. Since then, I divorced him, and moved back home. Continue reading
I’ve fallen madly in love with a man who served 26.5 years in prison for a murder (gang related) he committed when he was 19. The ironic thing is I was dating him when this happened. He pursued me for years before I would take him serious. He was trying to quit the gang life for himself and me.
I wrote him for a year and moved on with my life. Decades later he paroled and found me. He said he never stopped looking for me and always thought of how things could have played out so differently if he wasn’t such a fool as a kid. When we are together it’s like we are teenagers again. Going to try and keep it short…
I got pregnant by someone I hardly knew. The guy spent 3 years in prison and now that he’s out I thought I would try and have a civilized relationship with him for the sake of my daughter.
Now here’s the issue.. I find myself talking to him a lot now. I’m happy in a relationship already so I don’t want to, or plan on having a romantic relationship with my daughter’s dad. I’m so surprised at how good we are getting along, we laugh a lot, and it just feels so wrong. I try to stop his flirting but he is so persistent and dammit, he’s so charismatic. It’s weird, I don’t want a relationship with him, and don’t want to ruin the relationship I have now, but I’m having a hard time trying to stay away. HELP PLEASE!!
