I need advice. There’s this girl I like (I’m a girl as well). We have known each other for a long time. Recently, I’ve had a romantic interest in her and I told her so and we continued on as friends.
Last night, she told me she loves me, and she broke up with her girlfriend that night, providing screen shots for proof. But the next morning, she tells me she fixed their relationship and she’s sorry… I told her it was fine, when it obviously wasn’t. I was heartbroken. We haven’t texted all day and I still love her. What should I say?
internet hugs I’m sorry for your loss. Look for girls who aren’t in a relationship or even relationship limbo and won’t throw “I love you” around.
Hi. I’m a teenage lesbian kind of in the same place. This experience has happened to me twice.
In honesty, I don’t think you should ever wait up for girls like this—who treat you like crap. At the end of the day, you’re really just the “back up plan”, or a shoulder to cry on for when things go sour.
My advice is to stoke a little pride, and get yourself distracted with other things. Get out, find some new friends and interests, and keep away from her until those feelings are less intense. Trust me, it does a lot in the way of protecting your feelings, and it will make you stronger.
