stalking problems

A boy In my class has been stalking me for the last 5 months … he has an evil smile on his face and he continuously stares at me… where ever I go he tries to make eye contact like sitting on the opposite cafe table. .. he’s told his friends something about me and they laugh and point when I walk by he sometimes stands up too…. I don’t understand him does he like me … is he making fun of me .. I think it’s his habit to stalk girls …maybe he has fun doing it .. but I’m the one who takes things seriously. .. I wasntnt know why…. I think he’s a player but I’m getting trapped by him … why am i not walking away…he’s not honest Ifeel that but. .. what should I do?

[I know this doesn’t help any but I want to clarify the definition of stalker. A stalker is someone who follows you around and makes dangerous threats. Simply being in the same lunchroom as you is not stalking.

[Yeah, if all they’re doing is looking at you from a distance, I’m not sure there’s all that much you can do. If they say something inappropriate, or if they approach and harass you, that’s different.

I suppose you can confront them, but seeing as how you don’t know what exactly they’re saying, I’m not sure how productive it will be.

If the boy does keep staring, you can also call him out on that. At least it will be more tangible. But if that’s all he’s doing, unfortunately, I don’t think it’s going to be productive. I’m a full supporter of confronting harassment, but given what you’ve described, I just don’t think they’ve crossed that line yet.

What do you think?
