I want to ask my husband out on a romantic date, but don’t want to do the normal things we always do(Benihana, beach, Julian…). I live in San Diego. Any ideas??

[Have you tried Cinema Under the Stars? It can be fun, but probably more-so in the summertime.
[Good question! But… I don’t think you’re gonna get many responses. I think Missy and I are the only other San Diegans on here.
Speaking of movies, is your husband a movie buff? If so, look up Cinepolis in Del Mar. It seems pretty freaking awesome… if you’re a movie fan. It’s not gonna be romantic in the syrupy sort of way, but I think it’s definitely romantic in a “guy” way. 😉
[Take a trip for the night to another city.
Not dissing your city, just saying it’s a lot of fun when hitting the town to hit a town you’re unfamiliar with.
[Wine tasting at a local winery? I always think that’s fun and can have a romantic air about it. I don’t know if there are any wineries around, but since it’s California there must be some not too far away 🙂
Would he be up for a night of dancing? My boyfriend mentioned that it would be cool to take swing dance lessons, and while we never did that, I never thought it would be something he want to do.
Is there a local planetarium you can go observe at? Sometimes they have programs on weekend nights.
I’ve also always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride and think it would be romantic, but that obviously would take a bit of money.
[I am very, very bad at romantic dates. Laser tag? Bowling? Searching for pirate treasure? Probably one of those.
[The Zoo! (Maybe I’m the only crazy one who loves going to the zoo and thinks it would be romantic?)
[Well now, what is romance to you? I love to go to Balboa Park- so much to stumble upon- have tea at the Japanese Garden, go on a saturday when wedding parties are taking their pictures to bring back those memories, picnic near the lily pond, you know the drill. But my husband and I love silly things like museums and theme parks- shoot, we can make a romantic trip out of Legoland! Go to Seashore Village- great restaurants and people watching- I’ve never been to Hotel de Coronado but that place looks fabu!
